You are welcome all day on your arrival day, rooms are available from 3pm.Check-out is at 10am on weekdays and at 11am on Saturdays, Sundays & holidays. We can store your luggage in our locked luggage room if you still want to visit the area.

The austere beauty reaches out to the past. High ceilings & original monastic wooden beams. The rich buffet breakfast is a tasty contrast: freshly baked croissants and pastries, fresh fruit salads that would make any local monk jealous.

As the oldest city in Belgium, it's only logical that you can see and admire all the excavations from the region in the Gallo-Roman Museum! Above all else, young and old can discover this museum, the multi layered story of the people in the Limburg region; from the prehistoric times to the end of the Roman conquest.

Genoels-Elderen Wine Castle
In 1990, the family Van Rennes has once again revived the ancient wine culture. The wine grapes in the beautiful countryside surrounding the castle Genoels-Elderen have made a comeback. With 22 acres of vineyards, this is the largest wine estate in the country. A guided tour takes you through the park, the vineyards, the rose garden, the distillery, the pressing house and the 13th century wine cellars.
Guided tours from Monday to Saturday. Open Monday to Saturday for tours. Individuals can join a group.

Basilica of our Lady
Proudly governs the gothic tower of the Basilica of Our Lady of Tongeren its surroundings. It is one of the most beautiful religious buildings which enriches our country. The treasury of the OBL Basilica houses a unique collection of religious art dating from the 6th century to the 19th century.

Antique market on Sunday
For more than 30 years, Tongeren is already full of life during the early hours on Sunday morning. More than 350 exhibitors and around 40 antique businesses stand at the largest antiques and flea market in the Benelux every week. Dutch, German, French, British and American visitors give the market an international allure.

Land Commandery Alden Biesen
The castle from Alden Biesen was formerly the (landcommanderij) possibly “Regional Center” for Rijkhoven (Bilzen). Today the castle with it’s rose garden is a must see for the public. You can enjoy a beautiful walk through the grounds.
